I have a group of products in different categories I would like to add to one sale. Do I have to create a sale for each product?

Not necessarily, an easy workaround is to use a disabled category to group products for use in a sale.

- Create a category (name it something similar to 'sale_group_A') and make sure it is disabled.
- For each product you would like to have in this sale go to the product modify page and add 'sale_group_A' as an additional category.
- You can then use the newcategory 'sale_group_A' in any category based sale, and since the category is disabled it will not display on the customer storefront.
